Served July 235 to December 236
Jurbi Jones was the 1st Prime Minister of Sunsphere, elected in July of 235 after the successful Month of the Eclipse Revolution against the country's previous monarchist leadership. His Together! party won a surprise victory in the election, beating out more established political groups like SOLAR and the SunCorp Party by running on a centrist agenda of people-focused politics and national stability.
His term fundamentally shaped the early beginnings of Sunspherean democracy through the implementation of several controversial policies, including nationwide compulsory organ donation, the establishment of 'Health & Wellness' work camps in Waynorth for political prisoners, and the banning of automobiles in the Port Prosper province.
The Jones Government also led the expansion of the military to prevent a coup in Gallgyn, the regulation of junk food consumption by students, expanded investments in education and immigration reform, and legalizing dual citizenship for Sunspherean politicians.
Served January 237 to July 238
Grain Greg was the 2nd Prime Minister of Sunsphere, elected in January 237 as Together! earned its second consecutive election win, again prevailing over the SOLAR and SunCorp parties. Greg previously served as Deputy Prime Minister during the Jones Government.
While initially leading with humble and wholesome politics, a series of professional and personal crises led to his term taking a particularly gloomy turn. His wife, Darlene Greg, filed divorce papers against him midterm, and his Deputy Prime Minister Jurbi Jones left the Administration and the country after political disagreements with Greg.
The Greg Government rebranded as Dark Together! and was responsible for a series of new policies, including the creation of a mandatory retirement age, the naming of Emerald Reach as the country's capital city, granting additional funding to school theatre programs, and the nationwide construction of public restrooms. Greg also led the government's response to the Lilliputian crisis, including attempts to establish democracy and the eventual decision to leave the conflict.
Served August 238 to November 239
Humphrey Appleby was the 3rd Prime Minister of Sunsphere, elected in August 238 in the SOLAR party's first electoral victory, which ended in a tiebreaker against the SunCorp Party. Appleby was previously Leader of the Opposition during the Jones Government.
The Appleby Government made significant advances in both education and civil rights, including investing in science-focused secondary education and enshrining of the right to Public Protest into Sunspherean law. His government also passed policies focused on law enforcement retraining, the ending of privileges for public officials, the expansion of welfare programs, the establishment of political asylum for Althaniqan refugees, and public state support for BDSM activists.
Appleby resigned and dissolved Parliament after reports indicated that Sunsphere-produced chemical weapons had been utilised in the Tasmanian civil war.
Served December 239 to February 243
Martin Corbett was the 4th Prime Minister of Sunsphere, elected in December 239 in SOLAR'S second consecutive electoral victory. Corbett was previously a member of the Prime Minister's Office during the Appleby Government.
The Corbett Government was plagued by scandal at the beginning of the term, as reports came out that the country of Socialist Redacre had hacked Sunsphere's elections in order to elect the socialist SOLAR party. A VNC was led by the Volt party against the Government, but the vote failed -- reports later revealed that the hacks had only impacted a single race, making Corbett's election fully legitimate.
During his term, Corbett passed policies related to the regulation of tattoo safety standards, cracking down on alternative medicine providers., increases to arts funding, expanding the law enforcement response to tax evasion, and most controversially, banning all firearms across the country.
Served March 243 to October 245
Gwen Strawberry was the 5th Prime Minister of Sunsphere, elected in March 243 as part of the newly-formed New Federation party. Strawberry was the first woman and first LGBTQ+ person to be elected Prime Minister of Sunsphere.
The Strawberry Government was a strong but quiet term of governance in the nation, which had finally settled down after a decade of democratic governance. Strawberry championed the creation of a Space Program in Sunsphere, as well as mandatory vaccination against Waynorthian Pox and the accepting of refugees from the anti-socialist overseas nation of Daguo.
Strawberry resigned and dissolved Parliament in October 245 after a bike lane expansion issue led to the crippling of Sunsphere's auto industry, led by SunCorp attempted to move automobile production to the nation of Bigtopia.
Served November 245 to March 248
Agustin Fernandez-Campbell was the 6th Prime Minister of Sunsphere, elected in November 245 in the New Federation's second consecutive electoral victory. Fernandez-Campbell had never previously served in Government or Opposition.
The Fernandez-Campbell Government, originally elected in coalition with the SunCorp Party, controversially ended the coalition early into the term after internal disputes over pensioner income expansion.
Fernandez-Campbell's term passed new laws including the adoption of the Bigtopian dollar as a currency, making parking tickets proportional to income, a new anti-intervention foreign policy doctrine, improved relations with Socialist Redacre, and an end to gender-based restrooms.
